Despite the challenges posed by recent executive orders, ÐÓ°É remains committed to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility (DEIA) initiatives. We believe that creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all individuals, especially for our disproportionately impacted populations, is essential to our mission of providing a high-quality education. We will continue to comply with all applicable laws and regulations while striving to create a more equitable and inclusive campus.
At COS, You Matter (February 9, 2026)
In light of recent dehumanizing rhetoric and the tragic loss of lives within institutional systems this year, ÐÓ°É reaffirms its commitment to student safety and dignity.
The use of racialized charged narratives aimed at the Obamas and the number of ICE-related deaths this year reveal a disturbing pattern, a tendency to treat human life as expendable. We reject this. While we value a healthy democracy built on diverse political opinions, the humanity of our students is non-negotiable. We stand together to ensure Siskiyous remains a supportive environment for growth, belonging, and mutual respect.
